Where Am I? – A Journey of Identity, Love and Cultural Challenges is an emotional story about a young woman's journey through loss, responsibility, education, migration and self-discovery. From growing up in a modest family to pursuing higher education in the United States, her journey reflects the struggles and sacrifices faced by many Indian students who leave home in search of a better future. The story goes beyond the challenges of studying and working abroad, exploring family bonds, cultural differences, societal inequalities and the responsibilities that come with being away from home. Her mother's illness becomes a turning point in her life, forcing her to balance her ambitions with her responsibilities towards her family. Where Am I? follows the life of a young Indian woman from a modest family whose life changes after the loss of her father. With her sister already abroad pursuing higher education and financial difficulties preventing her from returning home, the protagonist finds herself carrying new responsibilities while trying to build a future of her own. She eventually moves to the United States to pursue a master's degree, where she faces the realities of student life, academic pressure, part-time employment and the struggle to find a job after graduation. Just as she begins building her life abroad, she receives the news that her mother has been diagnosed with cancer. Determined to take responsibility for her mother's treatment, she uses her savings to bring her mother to India for medical care. Her journey takes her through love, loss, family responsibilities, cultural beliefs, societal inequalities and the challenges faced by Indian students living abroad. A visit to her uncle's village gives her a different perspective on life and helps her discover a renewed sense of strength. Eventually, she returns to the United States, carrying the lessons of her experiences and a deeper understanding of herself, her family and her responsibilities.
