About
Booklu is a Telugu literary platform and independent publishing initiative focused on connecting readers, authors, publishers, and books within the Telugu literary ecosystem. Alongside its work in book discovery, author profiles, reviews, reading resources, and literary community initiatives, Booklu also publishes original literary works under its own publishing imprint. Booklu's publishing initiative is intended to provide a space for original Telugu writing and contemporary voices, particularly works that explore themes, subjects, and storytelling approaches that may not always fit conventional publishing categories. The imprint approaches each publication as part of a broader literary ecosystem, bringing together the author's writing, editorial development, design, publishing, and reader-facing presentation. L²: Naijam, written by Giribabu Dola, is the first book published under the Booklu imprint. The book is a collection of five short stories set within the L² World, an interconnected fictional universe exploring desire, human relationships, and the different ways in which lust manifests in human nature. With Naijam, Booklu enters publishing through an original work that establishes the literary identity of the L² World while marking the beginning of its own publishing catalogue. As Booklu develops its publishing activities, the imprint aims to document and bring attention to original Telugu literature while creating a publishing identity alongside its role as a digital platform for books and readers.
