Born in Kavali, Andhra Pradesh, he became widely recognized for bringing the language, humour, emotions, food culture, and lived experiences of ordinary people into contemporary Telugu literature. He worked in journalism for several years and wrote extensively for leading Telugu newspapers and magazines. His writing style is known for its conversational flow, emotional realism, and strong use of regional dialects and cultural detail. Khadeer Babu gained major recognition through works such as Dargamitta Kathalu and Poleramma Banda Kathalu, which portrayed middle-class and small-town Muslim lives with warmth, authenticity, and literary depth.
